How we invest

M.I.L. Invest invest in Nordic start and scale ups in the domains of deep technology (software and hardware) and Impact (social and environment). Our main focus is to sustain and strengthen Nordic entrepreneurs that has a global outreach.

Investments are made both through a privately owned holding structure and via several investment vehicles such as Nordic Makers and The Impact Collective. Nordic Makers invests in technology companies and are working actively with the companies to take them to the next level. The Impact Collective invests in competitive and scalable businesses contributing to a sustainable future.
On-off syndicates with other private investors and/or institutional investors are also frequent.

Investments are made as direct equity injections or convertible notes.

Business stages

We invest in businesses stages spanning from Seed to A-series.

We primarily invest in Nordic technology and software businesses with sustainable business models, businesses who are supporting sustainability through green products or businesses with a market focus aiming for green solutions or eliminating social inequality.

National/International founder teams

Before investing and continuously throughout the collaboration, we analyze the founding teams and leadership of the businesses. We analyze both the international and national leaderships of the businesses, as investing in a company is the same as investing in the competences of the founders. It is important to us that the leadership has a clear vision for the future growth of the company. We help the companies make intelligent choices in leadership when they expand to the global market.
